• My site went down this evening and I am now seeing a message which says;
    There has been a critical error on your website.

    I am unsure how to fix this error – can anyone offer advice or point me in the right direction for help please

  • The critical error in WordPress is generally caused by a malfunctioning plugin, script, or code that prevents WordPress from functioning correctly. You need to find the cause of the issue and fix it.
    In most cases, the email you get has more detailed information about the error. Check the bottom of the email they may name a malfunctioning plugin causing the error. Check the link attached in the email that will allow you to log in to your WordPress website in recovery mode. Deactivate the malfunctioning plugin or if you can’t locate it, deactivate all WordPress plugins and then activate them one by one.
