    It’s difficult to completely disable it because it relates to an attachment post type that needs to have an URL. You don’t need to use it, but it needs to exist. What is it that you find objectionable? Maybe there’s a way to address that without having to completely disable it. For example, attachment post requests could be redirected to a 404 error page.

    I want to make this for SEO optimization and to disable this for a reason to be no-indexed by Google

    Are there such links on your site that you need to keep? If not just remove the links or change them to link directly to the media file. Also ensure they do not appear on your sitemap. If there are no links to be found, they will not be indexed.

    Alternately, add rel="nofollow" attributes to such links.
