WordPress crashed after installing Newspaper theme

  • Hi, I am completely new to WordPress. After installing the Newspaper theme, my WordPress collapsed and stated “There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.”. I can’t get into the dashboard anymore and I have no idea why. Could anyone tell what I can do? Thank you very much.

    The Newspaper theme has certain requirements, you can check them here
    You are using PHP 5.6.40 and according to the requirements, the minimum version is PHP 7.3 or greater – To avoid future incompatibility problems, I recommend using PHP version 7.4.
    Please try to change the PHP version from your hosting administrator panel. If you don’t know how to do it, you could ask your hosting provider for help.
