    Hi

I’ve just installed Smush from within WordPress and ran the compression on all my images.
After it finished I tried to access my site. The whole site is down. I can’t get any access to my pages or the wordpress wpadmin dashboard.

    Why would this happen?

Any ideas of what I can do? I don’t know where to start, other than trying to work out how to restore a backup from outside of wordpress.

Is there a specific config file that needs deleting or editing?

    regards,
    Paul

    Phew.
One hour later and my site is up again, by itself. Not sure what happened then! It was immediately after doing the smush compression.
    Thanks, Paul

    Hi @pauljt007,

Apologies for the delay here, since it was marked as resolved we missed out on it.

Glad to hear it was just a temporary thing, I understand that this happened after doing Smush compression but this shouldn’t be caused by the plugin as the optimization is not performed on your site so resources are not spent there for this process.

If it does happen again please let us know and we’ll gladly investigate it further.

    Cheers,
    Predrag
