  • That’s mostly centered around the Pretty Permalinks option and possibly the domain mapping on a multisite.

    Externally, the htaccess or httpd.conf on an Apache-based host will also engage the web server’s rewrite engine…

    Maybe you might explain what issue you are having and we can possibly suggest a better approach.

    I’d keep my pretty permalinks for SEO purposes and human readability but you can run the plain vanilla choice instead with its numeric post names.

    There’s probably a plugin or config option to bypass the internal rewrite engine but I’ve never seen a reason to do so…
