WordPress core not sending emails – registration, password reset etc…

  • My website was working flawlessly but all of a sudden it stopped sending emails can anyone help me out here im just using the standard default install from Godaddy.

    Godaddy
    Ultimate Secure: Linux
    MYSQL: Server version: 5.0.96
    Wordpress 3.52

    How do I restore the original functionality do I work in the FTP, MYSQL or is it possible my host made a change and didnt tell me – any and all help would be appreciated

    When users try to register they can and are added to the database but they never get their password emailed?

    Anyone has a solution for this?

    Oh BTW: I am not getting every email notifications from wordpress-blog, so is the mail() function not working.

    1 other weird thing to notify you about when I test register I dont get any email notifications but somehow spammers are registering and sending comments and im getting those emails

    this is a very weird issue.
