• In free version, WordPress core files were not included in the backup. And this limitation is not being communicated adequately.

So when I updated WordPress version, and the website got broken, I had an unpleasant and extremely costly surprise, that WordPress files were not backed up. Only the theme files + uploads, posts and DB were backed up. Had to manually fix everything, although I had a belief that whole website was in a backup.

Please communicate clearly that the “Full backup” is not actually “Full backup” in free version.

Payed version is great. It helped me a lot by creating a convenient clone of broken website to work and experiment on.

  • Indeed this should be included. It was there in older versions but alas somehow not available in current versions. it’d be a great help if the developer be kind enough to reinstate core file backups.
