WordPress conencts to the database, but isn't setting it up.
-
My MySQL database needs to be on a remote server. I have setup a MySQL account with all permissions and verified that I can manually connect using that account from the WordPress server to the MySQL server.
When I’m running the WordPress install, it prompts me for the database credentials, the next page it says “All right, sparky! You’ve made it through this part of the installation. WordPress can now communicate with your database. If you are ready, time now to…” and then it has a button “Run the Install”.
When I click the button, it just sends be back to the first page of the install, right before I provide my database credentials. I check the database, no tables have been added.
Nothing is written to the MySQL logs during an installation attempt.
Any thoughts?
