• Hello, i have a problem with wordpress comments: I tried everything but i can’t see comments in my blog post. I checked every settings i can(wordpress setting, my theme (woothemes canvas) settings, post and page settings,), plugin conflits( disabling captcha plugin), but i can’t solve this problem. The problem seems not realated to the theme, because i can’t see with firebug anything related to comment form in the code. I also changed permalink structure, but nothing happens.
I simply don’t know what to do.

Site details: my site is a woocommerce website, with some woocommerce extensions. I never installed useless or crappy plugins, i updated recently to WP 4.2 (and all my plugins are updated). I can’t say that can be related to the new WP version because, the comments are for a new blog section of the site so i never use comments before. Thank you

  • Hi MarcoCristofalo.
I am facing exactly the same issue with one of the sites I manage.
If found a solution, is there any chance you could share it?

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme. I know it may not appear to be a theme problem but it is best if you switch themes to completely rule out theme specific problems.

Also, have you checked all the currently activated plugins and themes settings to make sure that they are not disabling comments. Plus make sure that the comments are enabled in the WordPress settings (sure you have done this but if not then do it).

On my blog/portfolio Incomingbytes.com I have been experiencing the same issue with themes 2010, 2011, and 2012 since WP4.2.2. was installed. NO comments show up. Any idea what the fix is?
When a comment is posted it goes to a whitescreen comments-php page (according to the address)

I NEED this style of header theme with the primary menu displayed, switching to 2015 isn’t an option for me.

I was told by GoDaddy (hosting) that this is a theme issue, that has to be fixed by WordPress. It seems to me the comments php file could be edited to correct the problem, but when I LOOKED at it without even making any change, my whole site was locked out, period, showing a parser error.

The whitescreen comments-post-php page shows up whether I’m logged in admin or not, whether the reader-commenter is registered or not. This problem was brought to my attention by a loyal reader when 4.2.2 was installed. I tried switching themes to no avail.
