• It has come to my attention that people cannot post comments on my blog (charami.com).

I have tried several ways to comment on a post:

    1. in Google CHROME, logged in as admin:
When I click enter to post a comment, I get redirected to an ‘ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE’ page. When I return to the post I commented to, the comment has been posted all the same.
    2. In Google CHROME, NOT logged in:
Same ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE is displayed when entering comment and comment is NOT published.
    3. In Microsoft Edge, logged in as admin:
When I click enter to post a comment, I get redirected to an ‘Page is not accesible’ page. When I return to the post I commented to, the comment has been posted all the same.
    4. In Microsoft Edge, NOT logged in:
Same ‘Page is not accesible’ page loads when entering comment and comment is NOT published.

I tried the fix proposed in the below URL, but it did not change anything:
    https://www.wiknix.com/solved-err_empty_response-no-data-received/

I’m really not that knowledgable about all the technical stuff :/. What can be the problem? Can it be fixed?

    Thanks in advance.

  • I am facing the same exact problem. I tried Chrome (No Data Received) and Firefox (Connection Reset) on desktop, Chrome and Safari on mobile.

Spoke with Bluehost and they couldn’t help after trying for an hour. They disabled all my plugins and still could not locate the problem. They will be contacting me within 24 hours and hopefully the issue can be resolved.

If anyone knows what the problem is though, please help a mate!

In the mean time I also tried all of the following:

    • Switched to a wordpress default theme
    • Disabled all of my plugins
    • Made a new htaccess
    • Reinstalled wordpress 4.4

Nothing resolved the issue. It’s quite frustrating.

The Bluehost team fiddled with my plugins and managed to resolve the situation. But now I have an even bigger headache. I can’t activate back my Yoast SEO plugin because of a fatal error. This is turning into a nightmare.

So, they deactivated the Yoast plugin and it started working?

I’m pretty sure they did a bunch of stuff including disabling all my plug-ins. They gave me back my site with this issue resolved but with a fatal error with yoast. I reinstalled it and it’s working fine now.

I would recommend contacting your server host. I’m no tech expert but it seems to be a server connection issue.

My host was contacted before I posted my problem here. They say they can’t resolve it, because it’s something to do with WordPress.

BTW, I do not use Yoast and disabling all of my plugins did not do anything to relieve the problem.
