When I have the wordpress.com login option enabled in Jetpack, the users who use it are directed to my staging website. Since the stage is a clone of the main website, I’m not sure how that is happening and would like some guidance or support to know that this behavior isn’t an indication of a larger issue.

    Steps to recreate:
    1. Enabled wordpress.com login from Jetpack settings panel.
    2. Go to https://www.southernimaginations.com/sillc/wp-login.php
    3. Select the login with wordpress.com option
    4. A successful login will take you to the https://stage.southernimaginations.com website

To fix, I disable the option in Jetpack settings. But I’d like to have this option or at least know how I can fix it.

    Hi @ayhja

I have made some changes on our end. Please ensure that the xmlrpc.php file is accessible and is not being blocked.

For your part, please be sure to set Jetpack in Staging Mode on stage.southernimaginations.com. You can read more here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/staging-sites/

Once you have made that change, please uninstall and reinstall Jetpack on your production site and let us know if you are still encountering the error.
