• hi there… just installed WP 2.0 yesterday… setup my own theme, and it was running fine. haven’t touched a thing. today i went in to look at the site, and noticed that… there was nothing there!

i looked in the wp-admin and it appears that there are no longer any themes listed in the presentation section.

the only thing you see is “All of this theme’s files are located in .”.. instead of the name of the directory and all of that.

i reckon this is a DB issue, though the rest of the information seems to be intact. i’ve tried dropping in alternate themes to see if they show up. nothing seems to be working. any ideas?

  • So it was all perfect and now it is not ?
Have you asked your host what they did (and they’ll deny all knowledge..they always do first..so push them).

that is a good idea. maybe something changed over night with their PHP version, or it’s setup as PHP run as CGI now or something. i have had some problems with this host from time to time. random “surprises”.

Exactly the same thing has happened to me over the weekend, except that I’m on 1.5.2. Looking for a solution now. Can’t see anything in my db that seems to be out of place. My hosts have a habit of switching things off if they find you’ve left the file permissions too open. I’m betting it’s something to do with that.

As I thought – my hosts had got annoyed at me leaving the permissions 766, so I went through the wp-content directories and made sure nothing had Write permissions on and everything came back on, themes, plugins and more importantly the website.

this has just happened to me. all of a sudden, the entire themes folder is just missing. i have no idea why.

Checked your theme folder and file permissions?
