WordPress Camping Site Suggestions

I want to create a website to try and organise a tent camping event in the UK for myself and maybe 20 other people fromother parts of the UK.

Can people suggestion plugins that may be useful?

I want to emulate a lot of the features shown on this website, like car sharing, maps, photos, etc.

I did initially try installing BuddyPress but found Buddy Press wasn’t all that user friendly both from the admin and user points of view – everything just got too complex.
