WordPress blog does not load

I have neglected it for quite a while and am unable to update it. It is hosted by yahoo and the wordpress file is visible. I’m using Firefox on a mac OS 10.10.2 The file shows last modified date Aug 25/14. Thanks for the help.

That one is working fine.

flatustheelder.com/wordpress looks blank but when you view the source there is a javascript there. I would the file manager provided by your host to find and delete this script.

Kmessinger, TX, I found the javascript in the source but don’t know where to find it in the file manager. I’ll keep looking.

juggledad, Tx, I can see the wordpress folder on my file manager page but most files load blank. I found the read me file and find I am using version 3.9.2. The update link in the read me file also loads blank.

when you say ‘most files load blank.’ do you mean if you edit them they are empty? If so something happened to that install and you will have to reinstall Wp. I would start by reinstalling the same version. remove everything but the ‘wp-content’ and the file wp-config.php’ tehn manually upload the files and folders from a 3.9.2 version,

Best guess is that you’ve neglected the site for so long that a major update to core or a plugin brought your site down.

You’ll need to connect via FTP and disable all of your plugins. You may also want to activate a default bundled theme to help decide if the issue is in your theme.

Thanks for the help guys. I’ll have to block out a couple of hours to devote to the site. I’m guessing that it’s not a theme problem cause the other blog uses the same theme. I’ve been wrong before and I’m getting damned good at it.
