WordPress blocked my IP address

  • Hi,
    THis is such a confusing and weird thing, but on my laptop I cant access my site or my wp-admin log in page. I can access them from my phone and from other computers so it’s not a problem with my internet provider, it is specific to my laptop.

    I did see that other people have reported this problem so I hope it can be resolved without too much trouble (other than the five hours I already spent on it.) I didn’t want to try the suggestions in the other threads because they were all over two years old and some seemed specific to things like wordfence and defender which I don’t use, AFAIK.

    Really kind of freaked out if you have any ideas.

    You should also re-enable the disabled plugins.

    Now they are showing up. In the future it would be helpful, when you tell someone to turn off their plug ins and then turn them back on, to let them know that their site might take a while to restore itself online. That way they won’t worry that a month of hard work just went down the drain. (On top of their IP address being blocked.)

    I will continue to try to get my host company to address this issue, I have spent more than five hours on the phone with them so far. Your vibe is great.
