• I’ve noticed that past two days that all of a sudden my back end in wordpress has gone ridiculously slow. Updating posts/drafts and even clicking any tabs like “plugins” or “widgets” thats about 10 seconds to load up.

    How can I fix this?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

If I deactivate all plugins, will that mean I’ll have to reconfigure them one by one when I activate them again?

No. A decent plugin should retain its settings and only remove them when it is deleted.
