WordPress is AUTOMATICALLY deletes a </span> tag that C-O-M needs.

I am trying to use C-O-M’s “Internal Collapse Trigger”

The code I have modified looks like this:

[expand title= “More Funds for Energy Projects” id=”energy”]Finding funds for energy projects is probably easier and less expensive than you think! <span class= “collapseomatic colomat-close” id= “bot-energy”>click here to close</span>[/expand]

WordPress keeps deleting the last </span> tag before publishing whether I add it on the front end or text editor. As soon as I update the page that last </span> tag automatically “disappears” and never appears in the live version.

WITHOUT the final </span> tag the following text appears on screen after my test “target content:”

    <span class= “collapseomatic colomat-close” id= “bot-energy”>click here to close

And needless to say, there is no “up arrow” or “click to close functionality” to close/collapse the window.

Tiny MCE Advanced seems to be responsible for this stripping out of the </span> tag from what I see and what I have read.

Does anyone have a workaround or suggestions? (I am not a programmer)

I thank you for your time!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
