Sorry, this next one was answered by you already but I want to make sure: when you put in the FTP credentials for your account for retrieving a plugin or theme, it fails and you are not able to retrieve the file via the WordPress page?
If yes it fails, you may want to speak to your hosting company and see if the error logs on the web server or FTP process shows what the problem is.
If no it works (…must work on my language skills…) then the web server runs as a different userid than yours and can’t write to the directories.
I had the same problem when my FTP account was directed in the website root of the file system.
That would do it. If WordPress was looking for wp-content
and it really was in wwwroot/wp-content
then it would probably get very confused and not work.
I tried updating the latest version”3.3″ But did not happen anything also ??
According to the sidebar you’re on version 3.0.5. You’ll (probably) need to manually upgrade to 3.1, then 3.2 before going to 3.3.
Make sure you have a good database and file backup and know how to restore them before you try a manual upgrade.
