WordPress and shortcodes ultimate plugin upgrade

Upgraded WordPress and Shortcodes ultimate plugin to the latest versions as recommended by the plugin author (WordPress: 4.4.2, Shortcodes ultimate: 4.9.9), and the “Insert Shortcode” button on posts/pages stopped working. Please advise.
