WordPress and Plugins Wont Update

  • Hey All,

    So I have had my site for a few months now and all the plugins and WordPress itself updated fine.

    However a few weeks ago I started having a strange problem that I can’t work out.

    It said some plugins needed to update but when I clicked on the symbol to see which ones they were it said everything was up to date.

    So I went to the list of my plugins and they had the little orange bar next to it so I selected them and then clicked ‘update’ under ‘bulk actions’ and it worked fine.

    However, now wordpress needs to update but when I click the update button it says that I have the latest version which is incorrect.

    Can someone explain to me what is happening please?

  • Hi lsamson,

    Try deactivating all of your plugins and activating them one at a time to update.

    Also try switching to one of the default themes to see if the problems persist, like TwentyFourteen
