• I recently migrated a site to a new host. The site was using WP V 6.1 at the time. All my other sites received and updated to v6.1.1 when released. This site did not and continued to display that 6.1 was the most recent version. The host site said the same.
Normally there is also an option to re-install WordPress on the Dashboard Updates page but this does not appear either.

I updated to 6.1.1. by FTP and hoped maybe that would fix the issue but it has not.

I then realised that I was also not getting automatic plugin updates either. The option to switch on auto-updates no longer appeared on the plugins page and even adding a plugin to auto-update fails to enable this.

I am assuming that maybe something in WP code has not migrated properly but I have no idea where to look for what sets these parameters or where else to look.

    Any pointers or suggestions welcome

    Thanks

  • I will say upfront that I am not a developer and others may have more experience with me. What you can consider doing is downloading WP-Control.

Its a plugin that lets you see the cronjobs and whether everything is functioning correctly.

If you dont see anything odd there or you do see something and you are not sure how to fix it, it is best to contact your host first for a solution.

    Hi

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I have tried that tool but nothing seemed to show up that would correct the issue.

I think I need to be able to check the code related to these actions to see if something is missing or misconfigured.
