• Hi
I am having a very strange issue with my Admin log in page. When I go to the admin panel there is a red box above the username box with the word Lambda_ After the underscore there is a number that always changes when you refresh the page. I dare not log in until I know what this is. Please can anyone help ? Many thanks.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Many thanks for your speedy reply. I will try your suggestions and get back.

I noticed the same thing as well today. I’d like to see what is causing that to happen… Thanks.

Tried suggestions but still no luck in solving this one, but not believed to be malicious.
I have had my web designer and blog supplier look at this but both are baffled.
    I was passed this link:

I have now got to the bottom of the Lambda issue and the error message has gone. See response from my website provider below:

“It was an error with one of the php extensions loaded on the server. It was causing an error variable to be defined before any code was run which wordpress and other applications caught and displayed”.
