WordPress 6.1 and PHP 8.0 8.1 8.2

    Hi

    I understand that PHP 7.4 was supported until 28 Nov 2022.

    However, it looks like WordPress is still not fully compatible with neither PHP 8.0 (released 26/11/20), nor PHP 8.1 (released 25/11/21), nor PHP 8.2 (released 8/12/22).
    The WP chart PHP Compatibility and WordPress Versions indicates “beta support” for WP 6.1 and PHP 8.0.

    Any update please?

  • From the commits I have seen for 6.2, more and better support for PHP8.0+ is underway. But, other developers/committers can tell us more.
