WordPress 5.8.1 Preview in “Publish” panel on Editor mode: Turn off?
-
I’ve noticed something new in WordPress 5.8.1
When writing a blog, in the “Publish” panel, there is now a “preview” of sorts in the editor view for blog post.
You get the Status, Visibility, Revision, Published on, and now you get this text that appears before your “Read more” line. So you get the text of your blog post showing and you have to scroll down until you finally come to your Publicise settings and your Update/Schedule/Publish button.
That next is ANNOYING.How do we turn OFF this feature so we don’t see that text on the “Publish” panel?
(I run multiple blogs and it’s going to drive me batty if I have to deal with this on multiple sites that all deliberately have long excerpts.)
