Hi, I’ve recently updated to wordpress 5.6 but the shortcode is not showing as embedded – instead the link is shown which links to the petition. Is there a fix for this?

    Hello mkaobrih,

    Thank you for contacting us.

We will investigate the problem as soon as possible. Please bear with us if it takes a while. Due to the Corona lockdown, we are unfortunately unable to provide a solution as quickly as we usually do.

I have one question. The answer to it would speed up our search for the cause of the problem. Does the problem only occur when integrating the shortcode or also when integrating the petition via the Civist widget in the Gutenberg block editor?

Thank you very much for your support.

If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help.

    With best regards
    the Civist Support Team

PS: Did you know that contacting us via our support widget directly in the Civist plugin in your WordPress speeds up response times? You are welcome to use our support widget for future requests. That often guarantees a faster response. ??

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. The shortcode is in an elementor shortcode element. When I removed the shortcode [] and put the src url in an elementor text box the petition displayed properly. I dont know if the problem is with your plugin or with elementor shortcode element but it seems to be okay in a text box with no shortcode?
