Hi,

After updating a site to WordPress 5.3 the WordFence plugin doesn’t load correctly within WP admin. It’s unstyled as if there’s a permission or path error with the CSS, but nothing comes up in the developer console.

If I restore the site to before the update with just WordFence not updated all is ok. I’ve tried removing and readding the plugin but it still comes back unstyled.

I updated 15+ WordPress sites today and only one has this issue.

W3 Total Cache is enabled but even after purging the cache and deactivating the caching plugin, the issue remains.

Hi,

This seems to be a theme dependent issue. Enabling ‘Twenty Nineteen’ corrects the WordFence admin styles.

Any idea how to debug this? All other plugins are ok.

Hey @andtay2001,

Which theme is this happening with? Do you happen to have any custom code in the functions.php file?

@abdallahmaali – Can you please start a new thread and include any errors you’re seeing in the browser console?

the files are excited but I can’t browse them via a browser too /I don’t know what happened

Thanks for the additional information. Are you able to share the theme? If so, I’ll bump the developers for their thoughts. However, I’d like to mention if the coding error isn’t on our behalf we may not be able to resolve it.
