After upgrade to WordPress 5.0, admin becomes inaccessible and says the following message:
    “No Update Required
Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!”

I tried uninstalling plugins remotely, thinking it’s a plugin interference, but that has not helped. The only way to fix it is to revert the entire site back to backed up version.

Any ideas on what’s causing this?

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Also try clearing ALL cache.

    Side not to @ernis87,

Please do not jump into other topics. If the troubleshooting already posted made no difference for you, then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. A lot more people will see your post this way. That way you stand a good chance of getting the assistance you want. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.

This is what solved my problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zhhb3dr3ooM

    Rename the wp-content/object-cache.php to wp-content/object-cache.php-bak

Strange. This is sloppy work WordPress. Third big application and software company with big problems these last 3 days. Microsoft, Steam and now WordPress. Very strange. I declare this then the International Bug Weekend officially as the second Saturday of December worldwide. Have a good day.

    Update:

After doing it, clear your cache as it is related to object cache in W3TC or something other caching plugin.
