WordPress 4.5 – Themes White screen

Hi Archana,

The screen is totally white after selecting “customise” from the dashboard in wordpress – so a screen shot wont help. Thanks for the suggestion about de-bugging but that’s kind of the point the error is the white screen – if I knew how to de-bug that would be helpful but unfortunately I don’t do you ?

O.K. I have found out how to “de-bug” and get this message now on the white screen,

What I dont know is what it means… I have tried switching off all the plugins and then switching back on one by one but that hasn’t made any difference and I have tried setting the default 20-15 theme which made no difference either… any one got any ideas ?

Further to the above I have found a solution:-

1. Delete all existing menus and save.
2. Rebuild menu structure and launch theme customiser to incorporate the menu.

This worked for my theme using WordPress 4.5 – issues started immediately after update from previous version.

Thank you for this! I was also receiving a 500 Error when going to Appearance and either Customize, Header or Background for any theme that I used. By deleting the menus I had saved, it cleared up the 500 error.
