I’m running WordPress in multisite mode. After the upgrade to WordPress 4.4 I’m getting a message that says “New translations are available.”

When I click the bottom to “Update Translations”, the process runs, listing the translations to various language packs, and appears to end properly. The update also runs when I updated two plugins earlier today.

After each attempt to update the new translations, WordPress 4.4 “Updates” in the ribbon bar and on the left hand menu still shows that are still updates available.

It’s still reporting that updates are available even after running “Upgrade Network”.

I’m not sure if this is a multisite update bug or there is some other underlying problem. Thoughts?

    Are you running any caching?

Are the files loaded in wp-content/language? (I think that’s the folder name…)

No caching is running at this time.

Examined the “wordpress/wp-content” folder and found a “wordpress/wp-content/ languages” sub-folder. This folder had a last modified date inconsistent with the other folders and files.

Renamed that folder to “wordpress/wp-content/languages_old” and refreshed the “WordPress Updates” page and the “updates available” notification disappeared.

This could have been an folder left over from an earlier WordPress installation (before switching over to multisite).

    howelljs that worked great!!! Resolved!!!
