WordPress 4.2 – Shortcodes not working any more

WordPress doesn’t natively have shortcodes for those.

They’re HTML tags, like <h1></h1> and <h6></h6> but if you’re using something different for those, it’s not being added by WordPress.

Are you using a plugin to provide shortcodes for those? If so, what is the plugin?

No, I just hit Ctrl 1 to Ctrl-6 to add h1 to h6 tags without using the dropdown menu. I always used that until version 4.2

It doesn’t work, Ctrl+1 was putting H1 on the select text and now when I try Alt-Shift-1 nothing happens? while Alt-Shift-c centers the text.

There is something I don’t understand.

I just made a test with Firefox, Alt-Shift-1 works to put H1 tag, so the question is why doesn’t iy work with Chrome?

That’s why I said “Ctrl + Opt (Alt) + 1,” not “Alt-Shift-1.”

Ctrl+Alt+1 doesn’t work either in chrome on Windows.

There is really something stupid in this, in the codex it states

“The following shortcuts use different access keys: “Alt + Shift + letter” on Windows and Linux (and on Macs if you’re running any WordPress version below 4.2), and “Ctrl + Opt (Alt) + letter” on Macs (when running WordPress 4.2 and above).”

Why make something stop working while it was working nice since years.
I’m a developper too, and I cannot understand this point.
