I’m not sure how to get the current version number but it’s not 3.1.

I’m doing some work on a gentleman’s WP. I’ve added some plugins but not sure what I added most recently or what settings I might have changed to cause the following problems:

I was logged in doing some on-page SEO and went to preview a page. Everything on the site is now getting this error:

    Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I don’t have any server side access but I’m also not convinced the problem is server side.

Is it possible that some plugin or a setting on a plugin is giving me this error?

    Thanks

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. You may need to try logging into your site to get this to kick in fully.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

I upgraded to 3.1 which fixed most of the problem. I don’t currently have ftp access (client site) but am working to get it.

I spun off the remaining problem into a separate post, since I’m not sure it’s related.

    Thank you!
