• The new update has brought a new issue with the visual editor for my site. The visual editor box is not auto sizing or fitting the content and its scrolling up. Making it impossible to type or edit and it scrolls up to the top all the time.

Is there a fix for this. Plug-in or theme conflict I can’t tell?

  • I read somewhere else that there is a problem using chrome in the editor on 4.0.

    What browser are you using?

Its Chrome, but I’ve tried IE and its also the same the editor is small and keep scrolling up. It just doesn’t want to auto fit.

    I will try FF now.

Not sure if this is the same problem, sounds similar, but I don’t have a scroll bar in the visual and text editor so the main scroll bar is dictating this. I can scroll up and down and see everything, it’s not affecting that, it’s just sooooo slow when I want to use the toolbar at the top. Slowing my process down by about 5 times. Looked for a few options in settings but can’t see anything. Hopefully it’s an error and it’ll be fixed, or there’s an option I’ve not seen in settings. Surely they’ve not done this on purpose because if they have it’s not been very well thought through.

In FF and Chrome, checked both.

Edit: This is only happening for a Page Editor Plugin I’m using, so if I use the main text editor the toolbar remains at the top – guess this means it was a meaningful change too.

    Edit: Babbling. Ignore

can’t you revert to a previous 3.9.2 version?

Was just massively overreacting and not using my brain, tbf. Was hardly a massive issue. Easy to work around. I’m tired.

this is a bigger issue if you use acf to create dynamic layouts instead of using the_content(). really really annoying.
