• I help support Carrie Dil’s Winning Agent Pro child theme. I updated my test site to WordPress 4.0. Now when using the AgentPress Listings search widget, it is putting a title “Search results for:” at the top of the search results page that was never there before. Nothing else has changed in the theme code. I searched and the text appears to be coming from core Genesis file search.php which includes a filter for genesis_search_title_output. Trying to figure out what changed in WP 4.0 that would cause this in AP Listings plugin change.

@alex & @mymothersdaughter Sorry about that … I synced the SVN repo with the wrong Git branch and it had some old code that caused this error. I’ve pushed out 1.2.2 and it should work as intended now.

For those of you who are not getting the upgrade notification, there’s nothing we can really do about that. Best option is for you to just manually update the plugin using FTP if there is any urgency involved.

The plugin README says identifies the plugin as being tested up to 4.0.0, so everything is fine there too.

Thanks. I’ll try it on my free theme first and then updating the clients for free tonight I guess because they don’t know how to do it unless they see it in the dashboard.

@nathan & @ Ron, thank you! Single listings and search results work perfectly, Cheers.

After updating the plugin via ftp and following the necessary steps, the title issue “Search results for:” still persists ( https://goo.gl/4QmmpD ). Any idea what’s wrong.

I am still having this issue. I have downloaded and reinstalled several times. Not to mention that the updates are not showing up in the Dashboard. They still look like blog posts. Can someone help us with this? Is there some other reason why this is not working?

Can you both check to make sure you have version 1.2.2 installed and active on the sites in question?

Thanks for responding Nathan. Yes, I am using 1.2.2 – screenshot

You will see the other version there which is not activated. Even if I delete that, it still doesn’t work.

@mymothersdaughter The plugin instructs WordPress to use the archive-listing.php template in the theme folder. Your problem is manifesting very differently than @pradeep11’s, which makes me think that your archive-listing.php file has been changed at some point, rather than WordPress using the search template, which was the original problem.

That’s what I would check. Make sure the archive-listing.php hasn’t been changed, or matches the file in the original AgentPress zip.

The archive-listing.php is in there. I copied it from the Agentpress 2.0 theme when I developed Pristine. I just used diffchecker.com – https://www.diffchecker.com/z3fb3s21. The left is the original archive-listing.php and the right is the one in Pristine. I used CSS to hid the .single .entry-meta for now. But I am still baffled why I never received the notification in the dashboard. I’ll just consider this resolved.

Hi Nathan & Ron – I am still seeing this problem too — I do support for Carrie Dil’s Winning Agent Pro Genesis child theme and have a couple of users with the issue. My test site did not have the issue after I updated to 1.2.2. However, using Query Monitor I discovered it was using a template from another plugin on my listings page, the Genesis Agent Profiles plugin. When I removed that plugin, now I see what our users are seeing. It is using the core Genesis file search.php now. Winning Agent Pro doesn’t have an archive-listing template so what is the best way to go about fixing this? I am available to troubleshoot live if you need me to. I’m on Twitter @817realty

Workaround solution: For those of you using Winning Agent Pro, hit me up on theme support and I’ll show you how to create a new template file that will display correctly.

I too am having this problem. No properties come up in the search using the widget.

Is there an easy fix on this?
