• Hi,

I downloaded wordpress-4.9.1 so I could exactly match the version on GCP.
When I unzipped the file, the enclosing folder was named wordpress 3!
I verified the sha1 checksums and they match.

Has anyone else noticed this and can they assure me it is still safe to install?

p.s (Aside : I recently download the free version of FileZilla using Chrome and my Intego antivirus software caught it for containing malware referencing Chrome web browser. Intego tell me they are aware of the problem.)

When I download 4.9.1, it unzips into a directory “wordpress”.

    How are you unzipping?

I am unzipping with the native built-in macOs High Sierra utility. wordpress-5.1.1 unzips into a folder named wordpress 4 but everything seems to be working alright and the checksums match also. So, no problem really.

Check the directory you’re unzipping into. macOS will append a number at the end of an unzipped directory name if there’s already a folder with that name. Chances are, you have a “wordpress” and “wordpress 2” folder already in the location where you unzipped wordpress-5.1.1.zip.

    Hope this helps.
