WordPress 4.8 – Can’t find variable: wp

Hello there,

I’m experiencing the following problem after updating to 4.8.
My widgets text editor has disappeared and through the console I’m seeing this problem.

Global Code — widgets.php:202 ReferenceError: Can't find variable: wp

I’m appositely pointing the 4.8 version because visual editors have been added to widgets and looking at the line suggested by the console I can read this as main problem

wp.mediaWidgets.init();

So I suppose it’s related to this update.
I’m running several plugins but disabling them didn’t resolve the issue. Is there any way to disable the widget editor instead? Thanks.
