WordPress 4.8 broke polylang (and other translations plugins)

Hello developer,
As I am sure you know, WordPress 4.8 (and above) broke translation plugins like polylang and wpml. We are seeing the wrong language. Sometimes we see the same language in all the language flags. The problems are very similar.
I am also sure you know that this is the reason for all of these recent complaints in your forum. I have been searching and I have read that wpml plugin already has a fix for this problem. We would love to hear from you. Please give us some feedback, some solution, something…
The only way I found to fix this at this moment is rolling back to WordPress 4.7.5 It’s the last version completely compatible with Polylang.

I am waiting more the 3 weeks to get a reply and i have seen threads before mine that are waiting on this issue getting fixed.
It looks like the polylang developer does not think it is important to reply or fix the issue. Very frustrating !
