• My website was auto-upgraded to WordPress 3.9.1 and went from around 150 pages to over 1,600. When I try to ‘edit’ any of the pages – I see a ‘Compare versions’ view and don’t know what to do. Is there any quick way to just say that I want to use the latest version of each page?

The ‘bug’ has caused every link in my navigation to result in a ‘page not found’ error message. The only page on my site which can be viewed is the home page.

  • Whatever this is, it’s specific to your site. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
