wordpress 3.9 – fatal error editing post – pages – images

    Hello!
    I have just installed wp 3.9 for a new website but i can’t edit or create post and pages and I can’t edit media files.

    I get the following error:
    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘…/home/wp-admin/includes/meta-boxes.php’ (include_path=’.:/php5/lib/php/’) in …/home/wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php on line 129

    Can you help me?

  • I’m having the same issue. My message is:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_register_plugin_realpath() in /home/content/94/11197794/html/wp-settings.php on line 213

    I’m having a similar issue, but can’t add text or media to a blog post. It has completely halted my blog :(.

    @utiosa: Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    @esmi Could you please give instructions on how to accomplish this: Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. I’m not sure how to NOT include the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files on the new reinstall. TIA

    Neither of those files are part of the download from WordPress. So just do not delete them on your site and you’ll be fine. And next time, please stick to your own topic.
