• I think this plugin needs some adjustments for WordPress 3.8. For example, some options/tweaks are now obsolete, not working, or needs some enhancements. What I’ve noticed so far:

    1. Admin Menus: Make the “POST STATUS BUBBLES” inherit the default notification color defined by the admin color scheme. Currently it has background-color:white;color:black as inline style.
    2. Dashboard: Some items need to go or change their names as per 3.8 (there are 5 default widgets instead of 9), including: QuickPress-> Quick Draft, Incoming Links-> obsolete, Right Now-> At A Glance, Plugins/WordPress Blog/Other WordPress News-> consolidated into WordPress News widget, Recent Drafts/Recent Comments-> consolidated into Activity widget. “Add Custom Post Types to Right Now Widget” and “Hide the footer of Right Now widget” are both no longer working. Plus, you need to change all instances of Right Now to the new name to not confuse users with no pre-3.8 experience ??
    3. Login: The login screen has also seen some changes in 3.8. I am not sure if some of the plugin options might break, but it’s good to make sure

All said, I think the current UI of the plugin could do with a more streamlined and simplified look. The heavy use of box and text shadows and image icons and these slow, sick animations when navigating tabs should go away, IMHO. It’s better to just adopt the standard styling of WordPress in terms of options/settings pages. Best plugins are those which do not feel like plugins ??
