3.6 Audio Shortcode Not Working

  • Until I installed 3.6, I was using Jetpack audio shortcode. Now it does not resolve.

    I deactivated Jetpack, uploaded a new audio file, and inserted the new media file with 3.6 audio. Does not work.

    All I get is a thick black line across the page.

  • You could try to deactivate all the plugins and see if that solves the problem. If it does try re-activating theme one by one.

    Also, just to make sure, try to paste the URL of the file in a single line:

    https://my.mp3s.com/cool/songs/coolest.mp3

    Thank you for the suggestions. I deactivated all plugins and changed theme to the new 2013 theme. Still not working.

    I am new at all this. Is there anyway to contact the WordPress developers to report the problem?

    Problem appears to be solved. I re-installed 3.6. I’ll have to carefully activate plug-ins again, especially Jetpack as there are parts of it I need.
