I’ve changed the thread to unresolved as a new version of BPS is yet not available, and also to know if there are any more bugs with 3.5

    RESOLVED

I just updated to 3.5 and have gotten a fatal error message. I cannot access my site or the dashboard. Is it safe to try the downgrade via

    https://etuts.org/manually-downgrade-wordpress/

without deactivating the plugins? The only other thing I can think of would be to copy the plugin folder to my desktop and them delete it from the directory and proceed.

I have a practice site where I try things out before doing it on my main site. This upgrade worked fine on the practice site, but I don’t have as many plugins installed and there are hardly any posts.

It’s not clear if this means I have a plugin conflict. error to my webhost tech people and

This is the error I get.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 384 bytes) in /public_html/wp-includes/class.wp-scripts.php on line 148

Sorry – I am new at this. I just realized this was resolved so I have started a new topic.

@susie. It’s ok. I think I’ve no idea about it. Hope you get help from others.

What are the problems that are solved now?

    1. Media adding button is working.
    2. Add new post working.
    3. Jetpack site stats working.
    4. Quick edit button in posts/ comments working.

Thanks for investigating this fix, Avi.

I don’t use the Bulletproof security so I still can’t post, alter widgets and such. I removed all of my plugins except Jetpack and Disqus and and also removed all themes. Still can’t post! I’m so frustrated.

I had bugs that would not let my editor work, could not write text in the post/page boxes, the check all feature wouldn’t work…etc. My problem was due to the auto-upgrade feature. I noticed this because one of my sites requires manually updating. This site worked great. As soon as I replaced my wordpress files manually all was well. Anyone else have a problem with the auto-upgrade?

Marcelusive, your bug sounds like the same bug I had. Try manually updating WP by copying every file except the wp-content file and your wp-config file.

As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topics. Your problems – despite any similarity in symptoms – are likely to be completely different.

sorry, was unaware of the rules…just trying to help, and the bug they are describing was nearly identical to mine.

Hi my problem after upgrading is that the theme widgets don’t work. The Dashboard does not nest the menus, I have to click on each section to see the settings?

Is anyone else having these problems?
