    Hello,

We had a website made with wordpress 3.2. We wanted to update it to the newest version. But it went wrong and now we can’t get our website back. We made a back-up of the maps in the FTP.

We if we want to acces de website we get this message:
    “Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache Server at — Port 80″

And if we look at the ftp, we see that there is a copy of every file with a “.php.LCK”.

    We can’t fix it.

403 forbidden means that your browser isn’t able to load the scripts up because your server isn’t allowing it. This is a hard one to solve. Because anything could be blocking the server.
    – Most likely this is a server permissions/ownership issue, so ask your host what’s going on
    – check your .htaccess files for anything strange.
    – try a full Manual Upgrade, to make sure all the WordPress files are there and correct.
    – Make sure to backup everything (including database) before doing any action, in case.

Thank you for your anwer. I checked the .htaccess file but that works fine.
I am now trying to upload the wp-admin and wp-include folders.
    hopefully it will work.

Iff not I will contact the hosting.

    Thanks for helping!
