    I’ve just built and installed a wordpress theme, using BLANK theme.

    I’ve got it running and looking good in Firefox and IE and Chrome. But when I test in Firefox 3.0 or Safari 3.0 it looks like it isn’t loading the css page. The top menu disappears. So it looks like the images aren’t uploading, though, in one case they are, on the services page. Driving me a tad bit batty.

  • It would help if some of your site links didn’t point to localhost:8888.

    not the issue.. the links point to local host on purpose till the site is legit.

    The issue is with Firefox 3.0 and Safari 3.0… for whatever reason they aren’t loading the style sheet.

    perhaps there is something in the css stylesheet that Firefox 3.0 and Safari 3.0 don’t like.

    Have you tried validating your stylesheets? Both Firefox and Safari support standard compliant markup & CSS. FWIW, the CSS loaded fine on the home page for me using Firefox 3.6.16

    Yes it works for firefox 3.6 thanks.. and validator picks up some hacks that i can delete i guess.. I had the * hack in the css

    but 3.0 i’m not sure i should even worry about it. people who use firefox, tend to keep it up to date.

    Figured it out. It was the Reset that i was using for the style sheet.
    I was using Richard Clark’s reset. Will have to find out why that doesn’t work now.

    There was some bizarre extra bit of code in the CSS.

    @media screen {

    For whatever reason the validator didn’t see this.
    Problem is now solved. it isn’t some bizarre bug.
