WordPress 3.1 and WishList Member Plugin – Problem!

  • The new WordPress 3.1 Header Bar is causing major issues with anyone running a Wishlist Member site! Yes it is easy to just “uncheck” the toolbar option under the user profile; but this is not an option when WordPress is setup as a membership site.

    Here’s the problem. First, it completely detracts from the look of our membership area. The “new” search bar also cause problems with the navigation inside the membership area.

    Our immediate hope is WordPress or Wishlist Member comes up with a way to globally turn off this Admin Bar “feature”. Really WordPress, you just had to add this Toolbar without a global admin opt-out option. Really!

    I had the same issue…just add the below to your functions.php file in your theme.

    add_filter( 'show_admin_bar', '__return_false' );
