• Hi all: I upgraded to WP 3.0 and installed the network features, edited wp-config, htaccess, created a sub domain in Super Admin (that I first enabled in my host), but now what to do? I have example.com working, and test.example.com apparently installed and mapped, but if I go there it’s a blank site (as if no mapping existed).

Do I need to install WP3.0 again on test.example.com? I doubt since it would defeat the purpose of running multiple sites with 1 install. I can’t seem to find the next step.

    Thanks in advance!

  • I’m experiencing exactly the same problem, but in addition if I try to visit the backends of any sites other than the main network site it can’t find the server.

I’ve already checked with my host and my wildcard DNS is set up correctly, so is there something I’ve missed?

    Cheers,
    Robert

    same problem, pls help ??

My host took care of this for me. Basically there’s an entry in Apache missing which they have to add when you add the wildcard DNS (I can’t remember exactly what they said but it’s along those lines).

Unless you have root access to your server your support guys will need to take care of this for you.

    Cheers,
    Robert
