• I have installed WordPress 3.0 Succesfully. (Thanks to Andrea for the help page!)
Theme is working everything OK, but…
when I configured a subsite (as directory, not as subdomain) and tried to visit that site, all I got was an “Index of/”-page with parent directory etc.
    What went wrong?

(It is strange because I did another WordPress 3.0 install and created several subsites and that works flawlessly, so somewhere along the line I should have made a mistake.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Is it on a different server this time? Different account? Add-on domain?

Usually seeing a bare index page like that is a server misconfiguration.

    Hi Andrea,

I am at DreamHost and you have all your stuff at one and the same server, in my case a shared server, when I use Transmit (for the Mac) to FTP I can see my sites. It is on the same account, as I only have one. Add-on domain? At DreamHost I have unlimited domains, if that answers your question, I hope. I am quite a novice, btw.

Would it perhaps be advisable to delete everything connected to the failing installation and start totally from scratch again? I mean deleting host name, mysqldb, etc. Really starting again with RC3 (that was my last update) Of course I first can ask support, to check things out.
Cheers & Thanks in advance again!
