wordpress 2.8.3 and firefox 3.5.2

    Just installed wordpress for the first time on a ubuntu server.
    Did all the install through the web interface using firefox.
    Logged in to wordpress and tried to edit the default first post and I could alter the text but clicking “preview post” or “update post” the new text i had entered wasnt there and the default text was.

    Then tried this with IE 8 and it worked fine. The posts could be updated ok.

    I have removed all the plugins from wordpress and disabled all firefox addons and it still dos’nt work with firefox.

    Any ideas?

    Oh also the widgets cannot be dragged in firefox but can in IE.
    Are the 2 issues related ?

  • Just updated to the latest version to try and confirm..

    Was already on 2.8.3, but updated Firefox to 3.5.2

    However i can’t replicate the problem, it works for me..

    Tried it this morning after shutting my pc down and it works fine now in firefox. Think it must have cahced something and stoped working as when i shut down firefox i clear all recent history.
    Should have throught of this last night but it was late.
