• Is anyone having problems with wordpress 2.8 and their widgets? I cannot move select add etc any widgets. The original widgets before the upgrade are there but I cannot add new ones or edit the current ones. Anyone else with these problems?

Is there anything I can do?

disable your plugins — the widgets page will be fixed. Re-enable them ONE by one, refreshing the widgets page as you go. When it breaks again, you know what plugin is the problem.

Pay someone to fix it. Ask here. Ask the plugin author. Fix it yourself.

O.K., I’m really technologically-challenged, so please go a bit easy on me (if you’d be so kind)…

    Preface:
A friend of mine updated me to 2.8 in an attempt to see if he could fix my library (which still does not allow me to add new images, but that’s an entirely different topic…)

In an attempt to try out the “Gallery,” somehow I lost my Blogroll (from the third sidebar). This was a list of friends’ sites to which I provided links– and, genius that I’m not, I’d only updated about half of them.

When I pull the ‘Links’ widget into Sidebar 3, I don’t have an option how to type in anything. (I had a long strand of the “<a href” action beforehand, but now I have an option of 4 boxes.)

My luck being what it is, I’m sure the list of Links I had before is lonnng gone.

My question is: how do I just get– well, a blank space in which to type the addresses/names again.

It’s embarrassing how ignorant I am in these matters, but I’d really appreciate if someone c/would help me.

    Thanks in advance–
    Clint
