I would love to update WordPress since I missed all updates since version 2.5. It’s not the fault from the WordPress developpers but my lazyness combined with Podpress being abandonded since months. Right now, I am considering 2 options:

    1. Install newest WordPress 2.7.1 and change the Podcasting Software from Podpress to Powerpress

    2. Install newest Podpress hoping the fix posted from the author still works with version 2.7.1.

The fix the auther posted on his website is:

“In your wp-config.php file add this line
    define (’WP_POST_REVISIONS’, 0);”

Does anybody have WP 2.7.1 AND Powerpress 8.8 running successfully using this fix? How are all the audio/video bloggers here handling their sites? Are you missing out on all updates like I did or did you change the Podcasting Software? I am ready to change to Powerpress but I would like to stick with Podpress because this is what my authors on the blog are used to and I am unsure how seamingless the migration will work. If anybody has experiences with migration from Podpress to WordPress, I would appreciate it as well. Sadly there is not one topic about this on the Powerpress forum. Sometimes I think I am the only person on this planet with such problems…….

No Tom, you are not the only person on the planet with such problems. There is one in London and it is me!

I would also like to upgrade to WordPress 2.7.1 and continue to use Podpress 8.8, as I would like more than one MP3 file on a page.

Does this fix work with 2.7.1? “In your wp-config.php file add this line
    define (’WP_POST_REVISIONS’, 0);”

I do not want to screw up my site and create a load of work.

Any advise would be gratefully received.
