• I’m currently running WP2.0 on a Windows server running Apache 2.0. Using the inline uploading feature of 2.0 works like a champ until I try to delete files from the upload manager. Clicking on the link “Delete Image” removes the file from the view (and the associated entry in the db i assume), but the files are still on the file system. I’ve tried all variants of folder/file permissions, even going as far as giving “Everyone” modify access to the folders and files, but still no luck. I can’t find any information in the forums regarding whether or not this is the appropriate behavior, but I suspect that it is not. Any ideas?

    Any ideas?

I think this is a bug, I am experiencing the same problem…

My hosting provider has safe mode enabled, is that the case with you too? (This might be the problem)

No…I’m hosting this site from my personal server. Safe mode is not enabled. I’m thinking there may be a code change that could fix the issue, but I’m pretty much a newbie when it comes to PHP.

Anyone else experiencing this problem….I’ve got a site waiting to go live because of this problem?.?

I’ve tried to reproduce this “error” but whenever I chose Delete fronm the image menu it really deletes the picture from the server.
The 2006 and the 01 folder inside it stays, but the pic and the thumb are gone.

Are you running wordpress on a Windows Apache server? If so, what are your directory permissions on the “uploads” dir?

Sorry, I missed that one in the OP. No, I am hosted on a Linux server. (I don’t bother to host my site since I don’t know how to do it ??

OK…thanks moshu. Yeah…I’m beginning to think this is a Windows permissions thing, but can’t seem to find anyone to verify this for me. It’s driving me a little batty.

Adding some additional information. I’ve added Local Service as full control over the uploads directory…still files are not deleted.
